The Pacific Collection is the culmination of more than a century of home design in New Zealand - an evolution from the classic Victorian villa of the late 19th century, through to the Californian bungalow of the early 20th century and finally on to the clean, unadorned style pioneered by an elite group of "radical" New Zealand architects in the 1940s and 50s.
The classic New Zealand home was, and still is, the ultimate solution to a number of important design challenges unique to this country:
It had to be robust enough to withstand New Zealand's extreme weather and earthquake risk.
It had to fit in well to both a rugged rural and a sophisticated suburban environment.
It had to be easy to live in and easy to maintain.
It had to be versatile enough to meet the changing demands of the New Zealand lifestyle.
And perhaps most importantly, it had to be affordable.
The Pacific Collection is all of the above, but we've taken the classic New Zealand home a step or two further. The homes in the Pacific Collection offer a number of contemporary design features you won't find just anywhere. With well over 50 homes in the Pacific Collection, there are designs to suit a variety of tastes and budgets.
