'In 2009 we decided to build on our newly acquired section in Tauranga. After careful consideration of various different building companies we decided to use Signature Homes. Our decision was based on how impressed we were with their upfront honesty, down-to-earth yet professional advice and their level of organisation (right down to recycling used pieces of paper).
Alison was our first point of contact and we found her to be friendly, open and honest and very accommodating with showing us around other Signature homes. Throughout this initial phase we were not pressured to make any decisions. It felt as if Signature Homes quietly provided us with all the information we needed and then gave us the time to make our own decision.
Right from day one, Signature assured us there would be no hidden costs and they kept their word with this. Everything was costed first and then sent to us for consideration. Every decision had to be signed off by us both before they would go ahead with it.
The drawing up of initial plans, though spanning the Christmas period, was a smooth process and we really appreciated the sound advice that Craig was able to give us with his practical, no-nonsense approach. He worked with our house and section reaching its fullest potential rather than automatically suggesting the easy options as so many other companies had done.
Didi showed her expertise, skill and almost inhuman patience with the many, many changes and upgrades we made throughout the building process. Naturally these took a lot of time and organization. She provided us with written quotes for every single change, and made sure we understood and were happy with what was being proposed. Again, before any change could go ahead, we had to sign it off. During this process it became clear that Signature Homes was working for us by shopping around and trying to find the best deal.
Our project manager Dean was a fantastic help. Obviously an expert in his field, he was full of practical suggestions and cost-effective alternatives. His organisational skills ensured there was very little hold-up in the building of the house and his wealth of knowledge and experience meant we went through the whole process with the minimum of stress. His efficiency and refreshing upfront honesty saved time and was very much appreciated by us both.
In conclusion, we believe Signature Homes stands out from so many other companies for two main reasons – they are honest and they have integrity.
In this day and age, it is heartening to work with a company who truly shows pride in the work they do and who you can trust to be honest and upfront right from day one! They are a truly outstanding team and it has been our pleasure to work with them.'
