"I am a New Zealander that joined the mass movement to Bondi in 1969; Noelene and I purchased a section in Whangamata during a holiday some years ago and then finally made the decision to build in 2009. We went to Hawkes Bay later that year to visit my mum and visited your booth at the home show there. I was then contacted by Terence and Ngaire and they met us at our section in Whangamata a couple of days later.
We spoke to a number of representatives from building companies in the area and everyone made promises; Terence and Ngaire were the only ones that lived up to the promises they made. Noelene and I have only been back to NZ twice since the original contact with Signature Homes was made; Terence and Ngaire have effectively "done the lot" and at this stage we have the frames up and it is almost ready to roof. I plan to visit again at the beginning of May when I will be able to see the building work that so far has been seen on photographs and updates sent by Simon and Terence.
I guess many people would say that to build while you are in another country is "madness" but to this stage our trust in Terence and Ngaire has been well justified. You have a great team in Whitianga, they have been very patient, helpful and understanding during the whole process. This was a very challenging project technically as the section is very steep and there were potential problems with neighbors and a body corporate in the estate. We are very pleased with what's transpired to this stage and are looking forward to the completion date in October and eventually moving to NZ."
