'Firstly, we would like to thank you, Craig and the entire Signature Homes team for building us a wonderful family home, that we are very proud to show off to our friends and family. Even though this is our fourth house that we have built, and we have enjoyed building the others, we can honestly say that building with Signature Homes has been the most enjoyable of them all.
We looked at about 7 other building companies before coming to see you – this was mostly due to the fact that we thought Signature Homes would be outside our price range – however, we were pleasantly surprised to find that this was not the case. As we had an idea of how things worked within the building industry, we were becoming increasingly frustrated with the other companies we had been to, that they were not listening to what we wanted, and we knew from experience that some of them were under quoting the PC Sums just to get the business.
When we finally met with Craig and yourself, it was wonderful to talk directly to the owner (who also happens to have building experience) and be able to get a straight answer to any of our questions straight away, and who could steer us in the right direction if he thought any of our ideas would not work. We know straight away from your quote that your PC Sums were realistic, and the fact that your final price cam in so close is testament to that. We had no extra charges on top of the variations that we added, and therefore managed to stay within budget.
From the day we signed the contract we were constantly being informed of the progress, and we felt that if we needed to contact anyone with any queries that we had that it would no be a problem to do so. The entire teams that we worked with from the office staff right through to the sub-contractors were all really easy to deal with, and we often felt like we were given royal treatment when we walked into a shop and mentioned that we were building with Signature Homes. It was also the first time that we have ever had a house hand over early! Three and a half weeks early in fact! Once again, we would sincerely like to thank you all for a wonderful building experience and for our beautiful new home.'

'We first approached Signature Homes in December 2007 with a view to seeking estimates for the building of our first new house that was being designed by an independent architect. While we were mindful of the process we were about to follow with those we were approaching, we were immediately endeared to the people that Dale has working for him. Throughout the completion of the Scheme Plan and compilation Working Drawings, the team at Signature Homes were always approachable and willing to offer guidance to aid us 'first-timers' although we had made no commitment to them. When the time came to entrust the project to a building company, the confidence we had gained from Dale and his team both personably and professionally made the decision very easy, and we happily employed the services of Signature Homes to build our new family home. Throughout the build itself, communication has been very open, and despite the contract being finalised, those at, and employed by, Signature Homes have approached us with ideas to improve the final outcome of the project that we have very much appreciated.

'Building a new house, we were told, would be a traumatic experience. Working with Signature Homes made it totally stress-free. Steve Garvey spent a great deal of time getting to grips with what we needed in a house - finding out how we ticked: what would work for us and what wouldn't. 'When Harsha and I decided to build a new home we approached a design company and spent 8 months with them but unfortunately they could not come up with a design that had street appeal. After being disappointed and frustrated we decided to look at a design and build company.
We always wanted to build with Vogue Homes Ltd who are now the Signature Homes Tauranga franchise and started the design and build process from scratch with them. Vogue's designer took a brief from us and within 3-4 weeks we came up with a really awesome design. The full design and permits were all done within a few weeks – we couldn't believe the speed. After which Craig's team took over from leveling the ground to foundation and soon we could see our dream forming. The communication was great, as things progressed each party liaised with us from interior design, kitchen designer, plumbing fittings, lighting company and Vogue translated this into our dream home. Communications on site with the Project Manager and sub-contractors went smoothly. Near completion we looked back and could not believe ho easy the whole build process was, no stress!
Craig's design and build flare was appreciated throughout the design process. Craig made suggestions that improved the overall look. Craig really impressed us with his business acumen, he always listened and dealt with any concerns we had without fuss.
It has been such a joy building with Vogue Homes that we would not hesitate to do it again if the need arises.'

'From our first enquiry over the internet to the hand over of the keys to our fantastic new home, the team at Signature Homes looked after us every step of the way. Jim and Brent explained the process, made us feel comfortable and, most importantly, gave us the confidence from the outset that they were the right people for the job. They made us feel like a valuable part of the design process, welcomed our ideas and helped us put our own personal touches into finished product. And their flexibility and creative thinking allowed us to get the absolute maximum value for money in terms of what we were able to achieve for the budget we had to work with. The build itself was amazingly stress-free. Once we met Gary, our builder, we knew we had nothing to worry about. He had all the answers to every question and had some great ideas for how we could make practical improvements to various parts of the design. I think when you can visit a site the day the last of the framing has gone up and there isn't a single nail lying around, let alone a scrap of rubbish or a piece of would out of place, you now you've got a guy who is pretty particular about the work he does.
As things progressed we were kept up to date of progress and if any issues arose, we all got together and sorted them out. They went out of their way to help, they came up with great ideas and solutions along the way and did everything they could to go the extra mile on the little things. And that was the way everything worked all the way through. Because the Signature guys manage everything, you only need to make one phone call to sort something out – they organize the builders, the electricians, the plumber, the gib-stoppers, the painters, the roofers, everyone. From decking to door knobs, windows to wall paper – they took care of everything. And that is what takes the stress out of the process and why using a building company, especially Signature, is such a no-brainer.
We got everything we envisaged and we even got our keys a couple of days earlier than our contract date – pretty good when we were due to move in 3 days before Christmas! We got the home we had always wanted and we got it on time and on budget. The quality of the build, the standard of the finishing and the management of the process from start to finish was fantastic and I am happy to say that I would recommend the Signature team to anyone thinking about building a home. They are a great bunch of people. They are committed to getting the best results for their clients and, while they take their work very seriously, they don't take themselves too seriously. To be able to look back on what can undoubtedly be one of the most stressful processes you could ever go through and realize how easy they actually made everything is a testament to the sort of people they are. They're down to earth, they're genuine and you know they've got your best interests at heart.

'In September 2006 we commissioned JDL Concepts Ltd (Signature Homes Manukau) to build a new home for us in a new development at Spinnaker Bay, Beachlands. We believed that we would be a somewhat difficult customer in that much of the concept design was our idea and we would be asking JDL to build a home that was not of standard specifications and could pose big challenges. The process of pulling everything together was an absolute credit to the team at JDL and right from the start my wife and I felt that we were working with a team that we could easily fit in with. Regular meetings were set up to plan a to-do checklist, and each meeting documented so we all understood the action and who was responsible. Communication is the most important factor in a project like this and right from the start even though several people were involved we co-ordinated everything through one person representing JDL. Many changes were made, in particular by us as this was the first time we had built a home. In making the changes, at all times we were made to feel comfortable and not unreasonable. JDL never promised they could do something and didn't deliver and were proactive with some ideas that they felt would help the aesthetics and flow of the building. I must say that our first experience of building has been a challenge but because of the way in which JDL handled the process, the experience was very exciting and something I would thoroughly recommend to anyone. The selection of who to build your home is very daunting and we could have been mislead by several companies we approached who did not have good processes in place and quite frankly had little appreciation of what the customer wanted. JDL were prepared to listen and work as a team.

What might have taken me several weekends, we did in one day, with the retailers having been alerted to our coming beforehand. I very much appreciated your attention to details, your helpful suggestions and responding so quickly my many lists of queries in getting the documents ready for the building consent. I found it very helpful to have the plans printed out in 3D as well as 2D by Nick and was relieved by his ability to change the plans when we had a few minor design problems to solve. I also liked the detailed lists of specifications. Barry and his team were great to work with, with Barry taking time to update me with what was being done, each time I visited. They paid such care to the building framework and the detailing. It was most reassuring for Barry to explain to me the steps taken to ensure that my house would not be a 'leaky home' – it has restored my confidence in the building industry. Barry and his team were great to celebrate each stage of the building process with, and I shall remember fondly the table under the trees, the pizza and buns, and my first party in the kitchen. Thank you to all the subcontractors, some of whom I never saw: the bricklayers, window makers, roofers, plumbers, drainage and tank people, electricians, kitchen makers, plasterer, tiler, heating installers, painters and others. The quality of your work is high and the end product much appreciated. Thank you to Bruce for finding such good tradespeople and for managing their contribution to the house building. I very much appreciated Maryanne's friendly and welcoming smiles when I came into the office. It was so good to be recognised and spoken to by name. The detailed ways of recording changes and costs was very helpful in trying to keep to my budget. David, you have a great team and because of this, I have a great house!

Just an email to let you know that Mark and I are thrilled with the design job that Steve has done for our new home at Glenmore Road, Coatesville. The design answers our brief perfectly and in fact has gone further than hoped in places. As I work in the construction industry, my wife and I had to decide if we would manage the building of our new home ourselves or contract a builder such as Signature. We are incredibly grateful that we chose to go with Signature because they added a lot of value, simplified the process for us and got a better final result than we could have hoped for. Their design and build capability and network of subcontractors and suppliers is hard to match. They were also able to adapt easily to changes we made and corrected any issues on the way through, promptly and professionally. The level of post completion support and documentation is the icing on the cake. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Dale and his team to anybody regardless of their background or knowledge of building because I think the time and money they can save you is well worth it.
