Designing your own ECE Centre
Why is the Scheme called a 'design and build' scheme?
Because it gives you the opportunity to either select and/or modify a building design from Signature Homes' catalogue of options to meet your particular needs. Alternatively, if the site is more suited to a custom design & build, Signature Homes can also provide this service.
How can you personalise your ECE Centre to meet your specific needs?
Signature Homes have standard designs for ECE Centres developed in accordance with best practice. The design options have been specially developed to meet Ministry of Education licensing requirements, site constraints and other variables but they can be altered to suit your requirements/preferences.
What specific needs can be catered for?
The standard ECE Centre modules can be combined in a variety of ways to suit virtually every need to make provision for conditions such as:
site size, shape and slope
direction of the sun and prevailing wind
flow and visibility between the indoor and outdoor spaces
the need for privacy from surrounding buildings and spaces
the specific needs of the centre in regard to number of children, sleep areas, nappy changing and toilet areas, play equipment and so on
